Schützenhof Bonn | Events & Parking

The Schützenhof Bonn at Hohe Straße 36 is one of the addresses in Bonn-Tannenbusch that appears pleasantly unexciting at first glance but is surprisingly versatile upon closer inspection. The official site describes the location as a restaurant and event venue, meaning it can be used for both a relaxed visit at the table and for larger private and business occasions. Additionally, its central location in Bonn, good accessibility on foot, by bike, by bus, and by car, as well as the large parking lot directly in front of the building, make it attractive. This combination makes the Schützenhof interesting for many guests: it is not a place with artificial distance, but a practical, down-to-earth, and celebratory meeting point with its own history. For people looking for a location with a sense of space, gastronomy, and clear orientation, the Schützenhof offers a rare mix of tradition and functionality. Events at Schützenhof Bonn: Hall, Capacity, and Occasions

At the center of many inquiries is the question of how large the Schützenhof Bonn actually is and what it is suitable for. The official website mentions the adjacent hall for 50 to 220 people and describes the large Schützensaal separately with a capacity of up to 220 guests. This is a very practical size for Bonn, as it allows for both small family celebrations and larger gatherings to be planned in a single house. Those looking for a wedding in a familiar setting, a milestone birthday with many guests, or an anniversary with a clear seating arrangement will find a space that is flexible enough without losing atmosphere. The Schützenhof is also explicitly mentioned for company parties and funerals. Therefore, the location is not limited to a single event profile but can be adapted to different occasions. This is often the most important point for event planners: not just space, but also structure that makes a celebration calmer, more orderly, and more predictable. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/index.php?article_id=28&utm_source=openai))

Moreover, the Schützenhof repeatedly highlights specific event formats on its homepage, such as Christmas buffet, New Year's brunch, and fish buffet on Ash Wednesday. This shows that the house not only provides spaces but also actively curates gastronomic occasions. In practice, this is an advantage for guests, as it creates different visiting situations: once a classic restaurant visit, once a brunch with family, once a festive event with its own schedule. The fact that the Schützenhof also offers catering for home extends this range further. Therefore, those organizing a celebration outside their own home can not only use the hall but also request support with food and scheduling. From an SEO perspective, this versatility and clear capacity are particularly relevant because many users want to find out through search whether a location fits their number of guests and event format. At the Schützenhof, the answer is clearly: yes, and in several variants. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/index.php?article_id=28&utm_source=openai))

Directions and Parking at Schützenhof Bonn

The location is one of the most important practical advantages of the Schützenhof Bonn. The official site explicitly emphasizes that the location is centrally located in Bonn and is easily accessible on foot, by bike, by bus, or by car. For everyday life, this means short distances and less logistical stress, and for events, it is a plus for guest arrivals. The mention of the large parking lot directly in front of the house is particularly relevant. Anyone organizing a celebration knows how much more relaxed an event becomes when there is no need to search for parking spaces or when guests have to improvise with their cars. Especially for family celebrations, weddings, or events with older guests, this easy accessibility is a real location advantage. The arrival remains straightforward, and the first impression does not begin with parking searches but with arriving. This is an inconspicuous but very strong quality feature of an event location. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/index.php?article_id=28&utm_source=openai))

The district of Tannenbusch additionally gives the address a clear location in the northern part of Bonn. A local historical source describes the Schützenhof as a traditional restaurant built in 1910 and as one of the oldest buildings there. This is helpful for visitors because a historical address is often easier to place than an interchangeable new building on the outskirts of the city. The Schützenhof is thus not only an event house but also a notable point in the developed neighborhood structure. Those orienting themselves in Bonn can therefore understand the Schützenhof as a house with neighborhood character: close to the community but large enough for groups. The fact that the location has been repeatedly repurposed and adapted throughout its history also shows that it is firmly anchored in the district while being flexible to respond to new demands. This blend of local roots and practical accessibility makes the address attractive for guests, organizers, and seekers alike. Sunday Brunch, Restaurant, and Catering

A particularly frequent theme on the official site is the Sunday brunch. The Schützenhof Bonn invites guests to a brunch buffet on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and the current flyer shows how varied the offer is. The buffet includes freshly baked bread, rolls, and croissants, ham, fresh sausage and cheese varieties, cream cheese and herb quark, jams, honey, muesli, cornflakes, fruit yogurt, filled tortilla rolls, antipasti, tomato and mozzarella, melon slices with smoked ham, poultry variations, gravlax, omelets, fried bacon, scrambled eggs, Nuremberg sausages, changing warm components, fruit salad, sheet cake, forest berry compote with vanilla cream, and fresh waffles with cherries. The flyer states €17.50 per person, including coffee or tea; children up to and including 13 years pay €1.00 per year of age. This is a clear indication that the Schützenhof is not only a space for celebrations but also a gastronomic destination for a relaxed weekend visit. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/index.php?article_id=28&utm_source=openai))

The menu also shows that the Schützenhof is culinary more than just a classic inn. The current menu flyer focuses on pinchos and thus on a Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with appetizers such as ciabatta and aioli, bruschetta, tomato and mozzarella, shrimp in garlic oil, salads, soups, various meat, fish, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. This makes the location interesting for guests who value a somewhat modern, livelier menu. At the same time, the Schützenhof remains a house for groups and celebrations, as catering for home is also offered on the official site. Therefore, those hosting a celebration can focus not only on the use of the hall but also on food and organizational support. For local search queries, this is important because restaurant, brunch, catering, and event location are not separate worlds here but form a cohesive offer. This connection of kitchen, social space, and occasion makes the Schützenhof so relevant for Bonn-Tannenbusch. Weddings and Equipment in the Schützensaal

Those considering the Schützenhof Bonn for a wedding or a larger celebration will find very specific equipment details in the official event documents. The tables are described as rectangular tables for 8 to 12 people, along with white tablecloths, white fabric napkins, candles from the house, menu cards from the house, standing tables from the house, and classic white stretch covers. This is complemented by lighting technology with six floor spots in various colors and a basic technical setup with wireless microphone, amplifier, CD player, MP3 player or laptop connection. Speakers are also available from the house; live music is permitted until 10 PM. Therefore, those planning a festive atmosphere with speeches, music, and clear spatial effect receive not only the hall but also a framework that covers many typical wedding and event requirements. The combination of technology and decorative basic equipment saves organizers many individual agreements and makes planning clearer. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/media/hochzeitsangebot_2024_1.pdf))

The event documents also show how professionally the process is organized. Cash payment, EC card payment, and payment by invoice are accepted; credit card payments are free up to €300, above which a fee of 3 percent applies. The binding number of guests must be communicated at least five days before the event begins. The use of the booked room generally ends at 3 AM; extended use is possible by prior arrangement. Own food and drinks are only allowed to a limited extent or with explicit permission; own decoration and floral arrangements can be brought in after consultation, and strict rules apply to party fireworks due to the smoke detection system. All this shows two things at once: first, the Schützenhof is a seasoned event venue. Second, the house operates with clear processes that facilitate planable celebrations. For SEO and for users, this mix is valuable because it builds trust and credibly underscores suitability for private parties. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/media/hochzeitsangebot_2024_1.pdf))

Outdoor Area, Atmosphere, and Club Life

The atmosphere of the Schützenhof Bonn includes not only the interior but also the outdoor area. The official site speaks of a spacious outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy the champagne reception outdoors during events. This is particularly attractive for weddings, summer parties, and family celebrations because the first relaxed part of an event can be moved outside. Anyone who has ever planned a celebration knows that an outdoor area is often more than just a nice extra: it creates air, movement, and a second level for the evening. The Schützenhof consciously uses this advantage and makes the terrace part of the event experience. Together with the restaurant character, this creates a location that does not seem strictly formal but remains inviting and approachable. This impression can be crucial for guests when they are looking for a celebration that should not appear stiff but pleasantly personal. The terrace thus expands the house not only spatially but also atmospherically. ([schuetzenhof-bonn.de](https://www.schuetzenhof-bonn.de/index.php?article_id=28&utm_source=openai))

Club life is also closely linked to the Schützenhof. A local historical source describes the house as a home for shooting and bowling clubs, city soldiers, and other clubs in the district. This indicates that the Schützenhof is not only used sporadically for individual holidays but functions as a permanent social anchor in the neighborhood. Such a place has a special significance for Bonn-Tannenbusch: it is a meeting point, a place of tradition, and an event space at the same time. The fact that the house was also a popular venue for Bonn bands in the 1960s further enhances this cultural role. The location thus stands not only for gastronomy but for a piece of lived local community. Therefore, those visiting the Schützenhof today experience not just a hall or a restaurant but a house with neighborhood history and developed identity. This blend of public use, club ties, and celebration culture makes the Schützenhof in Bonn so distinctive. ([bn-beat.de](https://www.bn-beat.de/auftrittsorte/sch%C3%BCtzenhof/?utm_source=openai))

History of the Schützenhof in Tannenbusch

The history of the Schützenhof goes back much further than most current websites suggest. A local Bonn history page dates the traditional restaurant to 1910 and describes it as one of the oldest buildings in the Tannenbusch district. This explains why the name Schützenhof appears in Bonn not only as a restaurant brand but also as a historically grown address with recognition value. In the 1960s, the house was also a popular venue for Bonn bands, positioning the Schützenhof not only as a gastronomy but also as a cultural venue. This is important for local memory because it shows that the building has repeatedly fulfilled different social functions. It was not only a place to eat but also a space for encounters, music, and neighborhood life. Therefore, anyone searching for the Schützenhof Bonn today encounters more than just a classic event location: they encounter a piece of Tannenbusch history. ([bn-beat.de](https://www.bn-beat.de/auftrittsorte/sch%C3%BCtzenhof/?utm_source=openai))

The more recent history is marked by a turning point that has nevertheless opened a new phase for the house. In March 2012, the Schützenhof burned down; local reports and later descriptions note that the building was renovated and reopened. One source mentions the reopening in 2014 under new management and describes a modern restaurant, a bright event hall, and an outdoor terrace as a result of the reconstruction. This development is crucial for today's perception: the Schützenhof is a house with a long past but also with a clear present. It connects memory and renewal, neighborhood and event operation, tradition and contemporary use. This explains why the place in Bonn remains relevant, even though gastronomy and event formats have changed over the years. Therefore, those visiting the Schützenhof today experience not only a restaurant with a hall but a place that has visibly drawn strength from its history. Dear Schützenhof team, on 07.05.22, we had the privilege of celebrating our beautiful and dreamy wedding at Schützenhof. We want to express our heartfelt thanks! You made our day unforgettable! We can't imagine a better location than Schützenhof! Starting from the planning and consulting with Mr. Schuldt, which was always reliable and professional! Every single wish was fulfilled as much as possible. On the wedding day itself, everything was perfectly organized and planned. All our expectations were more than exceeded! The staff, Dino, Steffi, and Christina, who took care of us on our special day until late at night, were truly exceptional. They were reliable, friendly, and always there to help. They were very friendly and attentive to us and all our guests. Everyone was served very quickly, and the interaction with our guests was outstanding! Dino even spontaneously took over the cutting and distribution of the wedding cake pieces so that my sister and maid of honor could continue celebrating. All guests' wishes were met, even until the very last minute of the celebration, which went late into the night! Thank you very much for that! We also want to thank the chefs! All our wishes were fulfilled here too, and the food was fabulous, fresh, and super delicious! Even though we, the bride and groom, couldn't eat much, we received fantastic feedback from all guests, such as "... I have rarely or never eaten so much and so well at a wedding, and I have been to about 300 weddings (also due to my profession)." We can warmly recommend Schützenhof to anyone who wants to celebrate a dream wedding and without any "ifs or buts"!! We can't express in words how grateful we are to all of you! Gabriela & Jimmy

The food tastes good and the service is also fine. The Kölsch tasted like dish soap, several guests said, and apparently the mushroom and wheat beer did too, said a guest who is an entrepreneur next to me. I drank 5 x 0.3 Kölsch shots and barely tasted anything, beer shot, and at home I drank a 0.2 glass of Meister and handled it all well. Usually, I have very quick stomach problems if anything with the food or drinks is too cold or something else.
