Rheinhotel Dreesen GmbH | Photos & Directions

The Rheinhotel Dreesen GmbH in Bonn-Bad Godesberg is an address that goes far beyond a classic hotel. Located directly at Rheinstraße 45-49, the hotel combines views of the Rhine, traditional architecture, and modern hospitality with a location that is equally interesting for vacations, business, and events. The official website describes Dreesen as a place full of history and hospitality, shaped since 1894 by family, tradition, and prominent guests. Today, individual rooms, spacious suites, the Gobelin restaurant, the chestnut garden by the water, and several event rooms come together here. Those looking for photos, prices, contact information, directions, or reviews usually want to quickly understand what makes this location special: the location by the Rhine, the view of the Siebengebirge, the quiet surroundings in Rüngsdorf, and the possibilities for meetings, celebrations, and relaxed stays. This blend of historical substance and practical usability makes the Rheinhotel Dreesen one of the most prominent addresses in Bonn. Prices, Photos, and Contact: What Visitors Want to Know First

Those searching for prices for the Rheinhotel Dreesen usually want not just a number but to quickly assess which category, travel period, and service packages are relevant. The official website guides visitors through the booking process, room categories, and specific stay information, allowing current availability to be checked directly. For initial orientation, the contact details are also important: Rheinhotel Dreesen GmbH, Rheinstraße 45-49, 53179 Bonn, Phone +49 228 8202 0 and Email info@rheinhoteldreesen.de. The website also shows that the hotel operates with a clear service profile: Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out until 11:00 AM, breakfast on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM and on weekends and holidays from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Those who prefer breakfast in their room can order a continental breakfast for an extra charge. These details are particularly helpful for business travelers and guests with tight schedules. The additional rules are also clearly formulated: children, pets, non-smoking house, allergy-friendly bedding, and other extras like kettles, bathrobes, slippers, or cribs upon request show that the hotel is prepared for different needs. For those searching for photos, it is also relevant that the hotel presents its room categories in detail, providing a realistic impression of style, size, and views. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/3.-FAQs-ab-01.2025-ENGLISCH.pdf?utm_source=openai))

Particularly helpful for the search intent around photos and reviews is the clear structure of the room offerings. The Rheinhotel Dreesen not only shows standard categories but also a finely graded offer from classic single rooms to double rooms facing the courtyard or garden side to superior rooms with a view of the Rhine and balcony, as well as deluxe Rhine view rooms with balcony and suites facing the Rhine. This variety makes the location interesting for people who choose a hotel not just based on price but on atmosphere and view. Those who prefer a quiet room will find options in the garden and courtyard categories; those who really want to experience the Rhine should look for rooms with a direct view of the water. This point is valuable from an SEO perspective because users searching for terms like photos, prices, or reviews usually seek quick, visual, and practical decision-making assistance. Therefore, for Dreesen, the combination of illustrative room presentation, historical facade, and understandable stay information is particularly relevant. Without exaggeration, it can be said that the hotel sells not just accommodation but a specific Bonn feeling between tradition, view, and quiet location. Directions and Parking at Rheinhotel Dreesen

The directions are one of the biggest practical advantages of the Rheinhotel Dreesen. The hotel is located in Bonn-Bad Godesberg, specifically in the district of Rüngsdorf by the Rhine, and thus in a quiet but well-connected location. For drivers, the official site provides direct orientation via Römerplatz and Rheinstraße; additionally, there is an underground parking space in close proximity, about 50 meters from the hotel. According to the current FAQs, parking on the street and in the opposite parking bays is free, while the underground garage charges 1.80 euros per hour or 19 euros per day. This is particularly relevant for event guests, weddings, meetings, and weekend stays, as the question of parking frequently arises in search engines. The regional distances are also useful: Cologne/Bonn Airport is about 28 kilometers away, Bonn Central Station 8.8 kilometers, Bad Godesberg Station 1.7 kilometers, Bonn city center 9 kilometers, the World Conference Center Bonn 5.8 kilometers, the UN Campus Bonn 5.6 kilometers, the Museum Mile 6 kilometers, and the Drachenfels in the Siebengebirge 14 kilometers. These details show that despite its quiet location by the Rhine, the hotel is integrated into a wide network of culture, business, and excursion destinations. So, for those looking for a place for guests from home and abroad, it offers a combination of scenic proximity to the Rhine and good accessibility to various destinations. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/directions-and-addresses/?utm_source=openai))

The arrival by public transport is also clearly described and thus particularly attractive for visitors without a car. From Bonn Central Station, according to the FAQ, trams 16 or 63 or trains RE 5, RE 6, or MRB go to Bad Godesberg. From there, one can continue with bus lines 613 or 615 to Römerplatz or walk about 15 minutes. An additional PDF travel guide also mentions a connection from Cologne/Bonn Airport via Bonn Central Station and onward to Bad Godesberg and Römerplatz. For search queries like directions, parking, or contact, this transparency is important as it reduces uncertainty and makes the location easier to plan for older guests, international visitors, and event participants. The Rheinhotel Dreesen is thus not just an address by the Rhine but a well-accessible starting point for Bonn, Bad Godesberg, the Siebengebirge, and the entire region. Those planning events also benefit from the fact that guests do not have to walk long distances between the train station, parking lot, underground garage, and hotel. Rooms, Suites, and Rhine View at Rheinhotel Dreesen

The room and suite offerings at the Rheinhotel Dreesen are deliberately structured so that guests can choose between compact, practical, and particularly scenic categories. The website describes the rooms as individually furnished, friendly, modern, and quiet. Particularly interesting for those searching for photos and Rhine views are the categories with views of the river: superior double rooms with Rhine view without balcony, superior double rooms with Rhine view and balcony, deluxe double rooms with Rhine view and balcony, and the suite facing the Rhine. For room sizes, the hotel states at least 24 square meters for the superior Rhine view rooms, about 35 square meters for the deluxe double rooms, and around 45 square meters for the suites, some with two balconies and separate sleeping and living areas. This creates a real difference between a simple overnight stay and a stay with a sense of space. The amenities are also clearly described: Wi-Fi, a bottle of sparkling water upon arrival, Nespresso coffee machine, some Sky TV in the deluxe rooms, and of course, non-smoking status in all categories. This creates an image that does not focus on luxury at all costs but on comfort, tranquility, and good location. This is particularly relevant for business travelers, couples, and weekend guests because the decision is often made between functionality, view, and atmosphere. The different categories allow for this fine-tuning and make the hotel attractive to a broad target audience. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/suites-facing-the-river/?utm_source=openai))

The less scenic rooms sensibly complement the offering and show that the hotel does not rely solely on Rhine views. There are classic single rooms, superior single rooms, classic double rooms facing the courtyard or garden side, as well as classic and superior double rooms facing the garden. These options are particularly interesting for guests seeking a quieter location or good value for money. In the official presentation, the central idea remains the same: the stay should feel relaxed, manageable, and comfortable. The rooms serve as a retreat after a workday, a hike in the Siebengebirge, or a visit to Bonn. This proximity to culture, nature, and business is what makes it appealing. Those searching for photos will find them on the website in the visual worlds around beds, windows, light, and sightlines; those looking for reviews are usually interested in the same fundamental question: What does the stay really feel like? The official texts respond with attributes like quiet, friendly, bright, and modern. Combined with the various views and sizes, this creates a differentiated offering that works well from short business trips to small weekend getaways. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Factsheet_Rheinhotel-Dreesen-Stand-02.25.pdf))

Meetings, Celebrations, and the Six Event Rooms

For meetings, congresses, conferences, and celebrations, the Rheinhotel Dreesen is a particularly structured location. The official event page speaks of six presentation rooms and modern technical equipment, complemented by an experienced event team. For organizers, this is a strong signal because the location not only offers rooms but also organizational support. The room table lists several specifically named areas: concert hall with 267 square meters, Empire Hall with 85 square meters, the combined concert and Empire Hall with 352 square meters, Salon Godesberg with 60 square meters, Salon Beethoven with 20 square meters, Salon Petersberg with 60 square meters, Gobelin Hall with 150 square meters, and Salon Drachenfels with 45 square meters. Additionally, there are different seating arrangements for individual tables, banquets, standing receptions, parliament, rows of chairs, U-shape, and block table. Particularly exciting is the combined room solution: the concert and Empire Hall can accommodate up to 350 people for standing receptions, 330 for rows of chairs, around 230 for banquets, and 140 for parliament. This shows that the hotel is suitable for both compact meetings and larger receptions, lectures, or gala formats. For search queries like events or conferences, this combination of space details, room variety, and event logic is relevant. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/conferences-congresses-meetings/))

The details also speak for professional use. The table notes that all rooms have natural light; blackout is possible in almost all areas, and several rooms have dimmable lighting. This is particularly important for presentations, workshops, weddings, and evening events because lighting and flexibility often determine the quality of an event. The website names Andreas Schewe as the contact person, reachable at 0228-8202 158 or via email at bankett@rheinhoteldreesen.de. This direct responsibility significantly eases planning, especially for inquiries about seating, technology, menu sequences, or room combinations. Additionally, the culinary offerings fit well with this, as many events at Dreesen benefit from the Gobelin restaurant or the outdoor area. The mix of historical atmosphere, Rhine location, and variable rooms makes the venue equally interesting for corporate events, receptions, and private celebrations. In SEO terms, this means: those searching for conferences or events find here not just a hall but a robust event ensemble with clear capacities, professional support, and an environment that feels less interchangeable than a pure business hall. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/conferences-congresses-meetings/))

Restaurant Gobelin, Afternoon Tea, and Chestnut Garden

The Rheinhotel Dreesen is also strongly positioned gastronomically. The Gobelin restaurant describes the house as a place for regional, seasonal, and fresh cuisine, where classic German dishes are combined with European influences. The official site also lists opening hours from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the kitchen closing 30 minutes earlier each time. On Sundays, there is a traditional brunch from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. Coffee and cake are also provided: Monday to Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Sundays and holidays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This is relevant for hotel guests as well as day visitors, as it makes the location a place where one not only stays overnight but consciously enjoys culinary experiences. This is complemented by an afternoon tea in Gobelin, where Ronnefeldt teas, homemade sandwiches, scones, and fine sweet treats are served. Such details are important for search queries about photos, special features, and experiences because they make the character of the house tangible. Dreesen is not just a place to stay but also a gastronomic stage by the Rhine. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/restaurant-gobelin/?utm_source=openai))

Particularly striking is the chestnut garden or beer garden directly by the water. The official description speaks of old chestnut trees under whose shade one can see the Rhine flowing and relax with family or friends. The homepage also mentions Dreesen's beer garden, which is located directly by the Rhine and serves as an independent meeting point for guests and locals in the summer. This blend of Rhine promenade, shade, wide views, and an uncomplicated atmosphere makes the garden area a strong unique selling point. It is attractive for day-trippers and cyclists as well as for hotel guests who want to sit outside after a day in Bonn or the Siebengebirge. It is also worth noting that the nearest boat landing is only about a ten-minute walk away. This shows that the gastronomic outdoor area is not isolated but embedded in a real Rhine experience landscape. So, for those searching for chestnut garden, restaurant, or social media-friendly impressions, they find here not just food but a very concrete image: Rhine, trees, light, summer, and a house that consciously stages its location as an experience. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/kastaniengarten-en/?utm_source=openai))

History, Berlin Wall, and the Special Character

The historical dimension is one of the strongest reasons why the Rheinhotel Dreesen is so frequently searched for. The official history of the house begins in 1894; the hotel itself speaks of more than 100 years of tradition and over 130 years of lived hospitality. In the texts, the house is described as the White House on the Rhine, and the website reminds us that Charlie Chaplin and Konrad Adenauer once came and went here. However, the historical view is not only nostalgic but also concretely visible: in front of the hotel stands an original piece of the Berlin Wall since October 2024, which is understood as a reminder of division and reunification. Thus, the location connects Bonn's history, German contemporary history, and a strong symbolic image directly by the river. For those searching for history or about, this is crucial because Dreesen is not just any hotel but a house with biographical weight. The location in the Bonn district of Bad Godesberg, in the district of Rüngsdorf by the Rhine, further enhances this impression, as the surroundings are also characterized by promenade, Rhine views, and the horizon of the Siebengebirge. The official website also refers to Terra X and the series of legendary hotels, which underscores the cultural-historical character of the house. This creates a profile that combines tradition, visibility, and narrative power. ([rheinhoteldreesen.de](https://rheinhoteldreesen.de/en/hotel-history/))

This connection between history and the present also makes the Rheinhotel Dreesen a strong SEO topic. Users searching for Bonn, Bad Godesberg, photos, reviews, or information usually want not just data but a sense of why this house is different. The answer lies in the combination of classic Rhine location, iconic facade, well-known guests, conference tradition, and a very active present with restaurant, beer garden, events, and well-documented guest information. The hotel is thus not just a monument of the past but a lively place for today's events, private stays, and culinary visits. That the house simultaneously communicates sober facts like parking fees, check-in times, and room sizes transparently further enhances this impression: here, history is not managed in a museum-like manner but translated into a functional operation. This is exactly what makes the location so valuable for Bonn. Those visiting the Rheinhotel Dreesen thus experience not just a hotel by the Rhine but a place where city history, hospitality, and current service intertwine. This also explains why the name frequently appears in search engines alongside prices, directions, photos, and history: the location delivers all these levels simultaneously and thus remains relevant for guests, organizers, and day-trippers alike. A very good hotel near the river. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the beds comfortable. The staff is not perfect. They didn't give us the room we had booked.

Was recently at the Rheinhotel Dressen. Great staff, great food and the view overlooking the Rhine, the picturesque little mountains and the city of Königswinter are unique.

Fantastic hotel on the banks of the river. A good beer garden for relaxing and a formal dining/breakfast room to remind you how grand this hotel is.

This hotel is located in a quiet area by the river, just a 20-minute drive from the city center of Bonn. The beautiful architecture, both inside and outside, creates an elegant atmosphere perfect for a refined getaway. The staff is polite and attentive, and the guests are cultured and respectful. However, during party nights, it can get noisy until midnight. There are usually plenty of free parking spaces available near the hotel, unless an event is taking place. For convenience, there is also a paid underground parking option—€1.80 per hour or €19 for the whole day. The breakfast experience was exceptionally delightful! A wide selection of cheeses and cold cuts, various healthy drinks, and the music playlist was curated with great taste—I was pleasantly surprised to hear my favorite Debussy pieces. Enjoying the view of the river with slowly passing barges added to the charm. A supermarket is just a 5-minute drive away. Complimentary lemon-infused water and apples were always available. The only downside was my single room, which had an unfortunate view of the hotel's wall. That said, the room itself was clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated that the hotel is pet-friendly. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality—I truly enjoyed my stay! Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
