Disciples of Christ Church Beuel | Photos & Bonn

The Disciples of Christ Church in Bonn-Beuel-South is much more than just a place of worship: it is a parish church, event venue, and a visible center of a vibrant Protestant community life. Officially, it is located in the parish district of Beuel-South at Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße 8, 53227 Bonn; the community also refers to contact persons, the caretaker, and the main contact methods for room and appointment inquiries. Those looking for photos, impressions, or reliable orientation will find current images and contributions on the community page that clearly showcase the character of the place. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/kontakt/pfarrbezirk-beuel-sued/))

Photos and architectural features of the Disciples of Christ Church

The first impression clearly shows why so many people search for photos of the Disciples of Christ Church: the church appears both simple, modern, and striking. On the official contribution page of the Protestant Church Community Beuel, contributions with image material are published, making the place not only textually but also visually experienceable. Additionally, the regional tour of the churches on the edge of the Siebengebirge describes the church as an architecturally distinctive part of the Bonn district of Limperich. It is mentioned as a building from the year 1963, designed by architects Rolffs and Hermes, and as a place with a special atmosphere, primarily shaped by the large window. This combination of clear form language and artistic design ensures that the church remains instantly recognizable in images. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/category/kirchen/nachfolge-christi-kirche/))

Particularly defining is the monumental stained glass window or mosaic created by Bonn artist Herm Dienz for the newly built church. The LVR portal on Rhineland history describes this work as a four-part window measuring 2.12 by 13.50 meters, composed of about 3,000 glass pieces and covering a total of around 120 square meters. This light effect is a key reason for the strong visual impact of the interior: the light refracts in the blue and white areas, giving the space a calm, concentrated atmosphere. Those searching for photos will see not just a building but a very characteristic light and color architecture. Therefore, the church is interesting not only for community members but also for people interested in post-war architecture, sacred art, or Protestant church spaces in Bonn. Address, location, and orientation in Bonn-Beuel-South

For practical orientation, the official address is the most important information: Disciples of Christ Church, Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße 8, 53227 Bonn. The community page for the parish district Beuel-South locates the church precisely there; visitors will also find a map link and the contact details of the pastor and the caretaker. This clear assignment facilitates access as well as the planning of services, rehearsals, concerts, or meeting appointments. For inquiries regarding the address, Bonn-Beuel, or Beuel-South, this is particularly relevant because the location is clearly categorized both postal and community-wise. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/kontakt/pfarrbezirk-beuel-sued/))

The location in Bonn-Limperich is also noteworthy because the Disciples of Christ Church is part of a small ecclesiastical neighborhood where several denominations are located in close proximity. The pilgrimage tour of the Rhineland describes that in Limperich, the Catholic Church of Holy Cross, the Protestant Disciples of Christ Church, and the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity are neighbors, thus forming something like their own church quarter. This proximity makes the church interesting for people who consciously seek places with religious diversity, short distances, and a dense cultural environment. Bonn-Beuel-South does not appear as an isolated location but as a developed community space with its own profile. Therefore, those visiting the church experience not just a single building but a whole urban and spiritual context. Services, concerts, and current programs at the Disciples of Christ Church

The Disciples of Christ Church is clearly recognized as an active event venue on the official website of the Protestant Church Community Beuel. The website consolidates content related to services, special services, church with children, sound culture, weddings, baptisms, and more, as well as help & counseling. This menu structure already shows that the place is not only used for Sunday services but also supports a diverse community life. For search intentions related to programs, events, or church music, this is central because the church is regularly filled with events that go beyond mere liturgy. On the page for the Disciples of Christ Church, ongoing contributions appear featuring concerts, Bible workshops, Advent activities, and musical formats. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/category/kirchen/nachfolge-christi-kirche/))

This is particularly evident in current program points such as the concert Leveret, the evening with Irish Folk, the Bible workshop with breakfast, or the baby concerts for the very youngest. The community's PDF program also points to further musical and community offerings taking place at Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße. It is also noted that most concerts are free of charge, with a request for donations at the exit. This openness is typical for many church cultural venues in Bonn and makes the Disciples of Christ Church attractive to a wide audience. Those coming here will find, depending on the date, quiet devotion, choral and instrumental music, family offerings, or ecumenical projects. This mix of spiritual space and cultural use is a strong SEO signal for search queries related to events in Bonn-Beuel. History, art, and spiritual profile of the church

Historically, the Disciples of Christ Church belongs to the Protestant post-war buildings in the southern part of Bonn. The tour through the churches on the edge of the Siebengebirge states the year of construction as 1963 and the architects as Rolffs and Hermes. However, the artistic design remains even more memorable: Herm Dienz, whose life's work is extensively documented by the LVR portal, was commissioned to create a monumental glass mosaic for the newly built church in Bonn-Beuel. The portal describes this work as a 120 square meter, four-part window made of around 3,000 glass pieces. Thus, the church belongs to those sacred spaces where art is not merely decoration but forms an essential part of the spatial effect. For visitors, this creates a quiet, almost meditative impression that connects architectural clarity with a strong light dramaturgy. ([rheinische-geschichte.lvr.de](https://rheinische-geschichte.lvr.de/Persoenlichkeiten/herm-dienz/DE-2086/lido/5e7ca7119db481.56229095))

The connection of Herm Dienz to Bonn-Beuel is also historically interesting. The LVR portal states that the artist moved to Bonn-Beuel in 1961 and continued to work there with collages and abstract art. Thus, this was not just any incidental church window but a work arising from a specific artistic life situation. This embedding explains why the window can still be perceived as an independent work of art today. At the same time, the community demonstrates with its regular services, festivals, and musical formats that the space is not museum-like but continues to be used religiously and socially. Therefore, those researching the history of the church should always consider both: the building as a testimony of the 1960s and the vibrant present of a community that continues to fill the place with content. ([rheinische-geschichte.lvr.de](https://rheinische-geschichte.lvr.de/Persoenlichkeiten/herm-dienz/DE-2086/lido/5e7ca7119db481.56229095))

Community life, family offerings, and counseling around Beuel-South

The Disciples of Christ Church is closely connected to the everyday life of the Protestant Church Community Beuel. The official page makes it clear that the spectrum goes far beyond classic services: there are offerings for children, teenagers, families, older people, social counseling, church support for weddings, baptisms, confirmations, and funerals, as well as other forms of togetherness. This makes the place attractive for people who are not only looking for an event space but a functioning community with clear contact persons and different approaches to faith. Particularly helpful is that the page transparently outlines the responsibilities: pastor, caretaker, youth leadership, and volunteer coordination are directly named. This makes internet research quickly transform into reliable practical orientation. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/kontakt/pfarrbezirk-beuel-sued/))

The community's profile also includes that the church is used as a place for special spiritual moments. On the homepage and in the community news, there are entries about farewells, welcomes, and services in the Disciples of Christ Church, such as those related to pastoral changes and introductory services. This shows that the church is not merely an external event venue but a place with biographical significance for the community itself. Additionally, the community's communication channels through Instagram, YouTube, and other offerings also appeal to younger target groups. Therefore, those looking for a church in Bonn-Beuel that visibly lives community and is not only open on Sundays will find here a very clear example of modern Protestant community life in an urban environment. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/herzlich-willkommen/))

Practical information for visits, room inquiries, and current information

For visitors, it is initially important: those wishing to use the Disciples of Christ Church for an appointment, rehearsal, celebration, or community event should contact the caretaker Ulrike Palm according to the official page. There, phone numbers and email addresses are directly provided, and the note that room and appointment inquiries should go to her is clearly stated. This significantly eases planning and prevents reliance on unofficial information. At the same time, the page shows that the community openly communicates its internal organization, thereby professionally securing the usability of the place. For inquiries regarding access, contact, or room rental, this is a central point of trust. ([evangelisch-beuel.de](https://www.evangelisch-beuel.de/kontakt/pfarrbezirk-beuel-sued/))

A publicly stated capacity was not visible on the verified pages; as far as visible online, the community seems to work more with specific appointment, contact, and offering information rather than fixed hall numbers. Therefore, it is most sensible to clarify current questions directly with the community, especially when it comes to larger events or sensitive scheduling. Those wanting to get an impression in advance will also find image material and continuously updated contributions about the church on the official contribution page, while the current program booklet provides a good overview of concerts and community events. This creates a very practical picture: the Disciples of Christ Church is easily findable, well-connected, and currently maintained, but it is best experienced where it has the strongest impact – in the space itself, in the light of the large window, and amidst an active Beuel community life. Modern church, dark windows, more black than color, the purpose of the windows is hard to understand. Sturdy benches with cushions but not good for the back.

A wonderful team takes care of meaningful, touching, warm, and also lively-happy community and connection with the Creator and the values of Jesus Christ. Just check the dates at www.evangelisch-beuel.de, under services. The church from 1964 feels like home to me with its warm wood and wall colors and the "shabby" cross and ship elements, as well as the flexible, unobtrusive lighting.

This Protestant church belongs to the Bonn-Beuel South parish district. A variety of events are offered there, especially by their very dedicated cantor and organist Hubert Arnold!!! The brass choir Blechlawine also visits often! There is a very nice atmosphere there - almost like family. The pastors always draw you in again!

Way too many political theses during the confirmation service. *following is a very fitting quote from Matthias Pankau* Even Martin Luther lamented that the secular and spiritual realms were constantly being mixed: For the troublesome devil does not cease to brew and mix these two realms together. "The worldly lords want to teach and master Christ in the devil's name, how he should lead his church and spiritual governance. So the false priests and rogue spirits, not in God's name, always want to teach and master how the worldly governance should be arranged." In their statements, churches often do not focus on matters of faith, but rather on political issues - ranging from climate protection to gender equality to rescue at sea. Their one-sided stance on refugee policy has left many believers in despair for years. The purchase of a ship by a church-supported association must have been the last straw for many.
