Program of the Catholic Family Education Center Bonn
Looking at the current program quickly reveals how broad the content work of the house is structured. The Catholic Education Forum Bonn describes its offerings as a church contribution to publicly recognized further education in North Rhine-Westphalia and categorizes it into nine educational areas: Marriage and Partnership, Living with Children, Household, Health, Faith - Meaning - Values, Culture, Society, Personal Development, and Qualification. This diversity is also reflected in the program brochure 01/2026, which includes not only classic family education offerings but also series, lectures, digital formats, and collaborations. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/index.html?utm_source=openai))
Content-wise, the current half-year program sets clear accents. One focus is on the topic of loneliness, which is explicitly described in the program brochure as a societal, psychological, and political challenge. Another focus is the series on world religions, which begins with Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and directs attention to religious sources and societal contexts. Additionally, there are formats on Nonviolent Communication, child day care, parent-child courses, and language and integration offerings. Thus, the house offers not only courses for a single area of life but connects education, relationships, spirituality, education, and practical family life into a cohesive program. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/export/sites/bildungseinrichtungen/bw-bonn/.galleries/programmheft/Projekte_Reihen_Foren_1_2026.pdf))
For users specifically searching for the Catholic Family Education Center Bonn program, the structure is particularly helpful. Directions, Parking, and Opening Hours at Lennéstraße
The Catholic Family Education Center Bonn is located at Lennéstraße 5 in 53113 Bonn. According to the official directions page, the train station and bus station are about a five-minute walk away. This is an important advantage for many visitors, as arriving by public transport is uncomplicated. Additionally, bicycle parking options are mentioned in front of the house, and strollers can be parked inside. These details are particularly practical for families traveling with small children and show that the location is well-planned for everyday use. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/service/adresse-anfahrt-oeffnungszeiten/?utm_source=openai))
Regarding parking, the official recommendation is clear: There is a disabled parking space in front of the house; otherwise, there are no regular parking spaces. Therefore, those arriving by car are advised to use the university underground garage or the underground garage under the marketplace. At the same time, the opening hours are clearly described: The information office is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. For courses, the house is generally open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, but closed during holiday periods. This combination of central location, precise directions, and fixed office hours makes planning on-site significantly easier. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/service/adresse-anfahrt-oeffnungszeiten/?utm_source=openai))
For SEO searches for terms like parking Lennéstraße Bonn, opening hours Family Education Center Bonn, or directions Catholic Family Education Center Bonn, these are strong, relevant pieces of information. The institution does not rely on vague hints but provides clear orientation: Those coming to a course know in advance that arriving by train, bus, bicycle, or through nearby parking garages is well-planned. Especially in a city like Bonn, where central downtown locations often have limited parking space, this transparency is a real service advantage. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/service/adresse-anfahrt-oeffnungszeiten/?utm_source=openai))
Rooms, Teaching Kitchen, and Barrier-Free Facilities
The house of the Catholic Family Education Center Bonn is designed for education in practical everyday life. The official site states that adults and children should learn, develop, and feel comfortable in 15 well-equipped rooms. Except for the teaching kitchen and movement room, all rooms are multifunctionally usable. This is important for a family education center because courses have very different needs: sometimes a circle of chairs and a conversational atmosphere are needed, sometimes space for movement, sometimes work surfaces, and sometimes a room for groups, lectures, or children's offerings. The combination of flexible rooms and clear content orientation is one of the greatest strengths of the house. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/ueber-uns/unser-haus/?utm_source=openai))
Particularly noteworthy is the teaching kitchen. There, up to 16 people can cook simultaneously at three cooking islands, including induction cooktops and wheelchair-accessible kitchen areas. The institution explicitly describes this as an interactive experience, where not only technology and nutrition questions play a role, but also communication. For cooking and baking activities with children, there are extendable work surfaces at child height. Additionally, there are tea kitchens on all three floors, barrier-free access, a foyer as a lounge area, and a cappuccino offering from the vending machine. These details are not only convenient but also create an atmosphere where people can converse before and after courses. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/ueber-uns/unser-haus/?utm_source=openai))
The rooms for movement, relaxation, and parent-child courses are also clearly described. The Family Education Center refers to a large movement room, several seminar rooms, and parent-child rooms that are designed age-appropriately. For the first year of life, play materials based on Pikler or PEKiP approaches are mentioned; for the second and third years of life, there are additional parent-child offerings. There is also a reference to special rooms for birth preparation and infant care, which reflect the historical core of the house. This mix of tradition, functionality, and barrier-free access makes the location so adaptable for families and groups. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/ueber-uns/unser-haus/?utm_source=openai))
Parent-Child Courses, Around Birth, and Family Offers
A central theme of the Family Education Center Bonn is parent-child courses and offerings around birth. The official website explicitly names these areas as frequently sought content. The materials of the house make it clear that the roots of the institution lie in the Bonn Mothers' School and that the topic area around birth, infant care, initial equipment, and nutrition has historically played a central role. This is important for today's family education because it shows how long the institution has been working with questions related to starting family life. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/index.html?utm_source=openai))
The parent-child areas are well anchored in the house both content-wise and spatially. There are special course rooms for the first year of life with developmentally appropriate play environments and materials based on Pikler or PEKiP approaches. For the second and third years of life, additional course rooms are available. Additionally, the Educational Forum plans, according to the program brochure, parent courses, parent evenings, parent cafés, parent-child courses, offerings for the whole family, couple offerings, and intergenerational formats with seniors. This covers not only early childhood but also family living, partnerships, and dialogue between generations. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/ueber-uns/unser-haus/?utm_source=openai))
This focus is also reflected in the current notes on the website. Available spots in parent-child courses, waiting lists, online courses, and new courses in northern Bonn are mentioned. This shows that the house does not only think of its family offerings as classic presence courses but flexibly expands and offers them at various locations as well as digitally. This is particularly relevant for parents looking for a reliable, locally available, and practical offering. The Catholic Family Education Center Bonn connects concrete everyday support with pedagogical quality and a clear focus on the needs of families in different life situations. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/index.html?utm_source=openai))
Qualification, Educational Focuses, and Christian Profile
In addition to family courses and lectures, the qualification of adults also plays an important role. The program brochure 01/2026 refers to qualification offerings, such as child day care according to the competence-oriented qualification handbook QHB of the German Youth Institute. There, contents such as early and preschool education, the establishment of a child day care facility including legal foundations, as well as course framing and reflection are mentioned. For those interested in working with children professionally or entering child day care, this is a clear point of connection. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/export/sites/bildungseinrichtungen/bw-bonn/.galleries/programmheft/Projekte_Reihen_Foren_1_2026.pdf))
The institution itself describes its profile as Christian-shaped and at the same time open to all. The Educational Association of the Archdiocese of Cologne e.V. is recognized according to North Rhine-Westphalian further education law; the Family Education Center Bonn is additionally recognized according to the Child and Youth Welfare Act. In connection with the ISO certification and the quality network, a picture emerges of an institution that combines pedagogical quality, organizational reliability, and a value-oriented self-understanding. This also explains the diversity of topics: Health, society, culture, personal development, faith, meaning and values, or qualification are not thought of side by side, but together. ([bildungswerk-ev.de](https://www.bildungswerk-ev.de/fbs-bonn/ueber-uns/selbstverstaendnis-arbeitsweise/index.html?utm_source=openai))
For Bonn, the Catholic Education Forum Bonn is more than just a course address. It is a house that accompanies families through the first life phases, imparts new competencies to adults, and addresses current societal issues. The 2026 focuses on loneliness and world religions show that the institution does not limit itself to a narrow family image but places questions of coexistence, faith, and social connectedness at the center. So, anyone looking for a serious, centrally located, and well-structured educational institution will find here a house with profile, practical relevance, and a clear educational mandate.
I can highly recommend the Pikler course with Claudia Rösgen! I've attended this course for almost 4 years with two kids. This crawling group is an absolute highlight for babies and parents. Claudia creates a warm atmosphere where the little ones can thrive freely. Her empathetic nature and solid knowledge of Pikler pedagogy are impressive – she addresses each child individually. As a parent, you not only feel welcome here but also inspired by Claudia's tips for everyday life. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with the caretaker of this building. Since I forgot my bike lock, I asked him if I could exceptionally leave my bike in the yard. Unfortunately, he refused without any willingness to compromise, even though there was plenty of space in the yard that day.

We attended one of the Pekip courses for two years. A wonderful start to motherhood with a lot of understanding for the children's needs. The postnatal recovery with the baby was great too! The offerings from the fbs are diverse and highly recommended. Here, you feel welcome and can find your new role as a mom/dad! And all at great prices.

We could only attend one session of a course for my daughter and signed up on the participant list. Even after explaining the situation, the full course fee for all dates was demanded. Very unchristian terms and conditions.
