Directions and Parking at Hotel Zur Post Bonn

The location on the right bank of the Rhine in the Bonn district of Beuel makes Hotel Zur Post easily accessible from all directions. Those coming by car from the north should follow the A59 towards Bonn and take exit 42 (BN-Pützchen/BN-Beuel). From there, take Siegburger Straße to L193 – Königswinterer Straße – until the hotel appears on the left side. From the south, the A3 leads to exit 33 towards Königswinter; after the roundabouts, you will reach Oberkasseler Straße via B42 and A562 towards BN-Holtorf and finally into local traffic to Beuel-Küdinghoven. For navigation devices, the address Königswinterer Str. 309, 53227 Bonn is relevant; thanks to its proximity to the main road and local thoroughfares, delivery vehicles and shuttle buses can also reach the location quickly.

Traveling by public transport is equally convenient. From Bonn Central Station, tram line 62 towards Oberkassel takes about 17 minutes to the Schießbergweg stop. From there, it is about three minutes on foot via Schießbergweg and the pedestrian traffic light to the main entrance behind the distinctive tree in the courtyard. Alternatively, subway line 66 towards Bad Honnef brings guests to Bonn Ramersdorf station in about 14 minutes; the subsequent walk takes about 15 minutes along the main road. From Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN), travelers can comfortably reach the hotel by regional train RE8 or RB27 towards Koblenz to Beuel Bahnhof (travel time about 21 minutes) and then transfer to tram 62 – in seven minutes, the Schießbergweg stop is reached, and the rest is a short walk.

Directly at the location, there are three parking options available – a plus for drivers as well as for organizers with equipment: In the in-house underground garage, you can park for 15 euros per day, protected from the weather. The paved courtyard parking lot on Königswinterer Straße costs 10 euros per day and offers short distances to check-in and the event rooms. Additionally, there is an unpaved parking lot on the nearby Streffenweg, which is available to guests free of charge. All areas are within walking distance and are suitable for day guests, overnight guests, or deliveries, depending on the need. Those arriving by e-bike, bicycle, or motorcycle benefit from the courtyard location and good visibility; public transport users appreciate the immediate proximity to the stop. This creates a mix of arrivals that works reliably depending on the event format – from board meetings to family celebrations.

Conference and Event Rooms: Hall and Winter Garden – Capacities and Technology

For workshops, seminars, conferences, or private celebrations, Hotel Zur Post offers two versatile rooms that can be flexibly furnished and equipped. The hall, with 56 square meters, is the right choice for focused work sessions, breakouts, or smaller receptions. Depending on the seating arrangement, it accommodates about 18 people in block form, around 25 people in parliamentary seating, approximately 50 people in rows, or up to 80 people in a standing reception. The room has natural light and can be darkened if necessary – ideal for presentations or film screenings. Air conditioning and heating ensure a pleasant room climate, and the existing sound technology, including a microphone, ensures reliable sound for lectures or introductions. A projector, flip chart, and pinboard are also available; moderation materials can be provided upon request. A special plus for celebrations: Upon request, the hall can be combined with the adjacent restaurant, creating additional space and direct culinary connection.

The winter garden, with 78 square meters, is the larger of the two rooms and a stage for bright, communicative formats. Its glass roof brings in plenty of natural light – perfect for creative workshops, product presentations, conferences, or summer parties. In block form, the spaces accommodate about 28 people, in parliamentary seating around 40, in rows about 80, and as a standing reception up to 100 guests. The equipment meets professional event standards: air conditioning or heating, sound technology with a microphone, projector and screen, flip chart and pinboard, as well as the possibility to darken the room. The winter garden is wheelchair accessible and even driveable – practical if heavy equipment, exhibits, or decorations need to be brought directly into the room. Access to the inner courtyard allows for short distances to catering or fresh air breaks. For all-day events, conference packages and buffet suggestions are available, making meals, drinks, and coffee breaks planable. Whether strategy meeting, training, club meeting, birthday, or wedding reception – the combination of variable seating, solid house technology, and personal support adapts to various occasions.

We stayed here for the night, and everything was according and even above the expectations. The room was spacious, the shower was great (good water pressure!), the temp inside the room was perfect. We also really enjoyed the breakfast; lots of local produce, especially milk-based.

Booked to stay for 3 nights to attend a friend’s wedding. Perfect location, clean rooms and a good price. Hotel made several easily avoidable errors with our reservation but quickly and politely resolved the problem. Vending machines not great selection unless you like Monster. For some reason the machine in our block would not vend water, despite being fully stocked! Would I stay again? Yes but don’t rely on getting anything to eat within walking distance on a Sunday night!

The room is okay, it's basic and a bit older as well as the furniture. The bathroom was freshly renovated and made a very nice impression. The room and bathroom were tidy and clean. The bed was really comfortable! The internet worked fine. Overall a good hotel. The restaurant was good, although we were said/informed that "just a backup cook" was available. The price a bit expensive, but the meal good/tasty and the portionsize was good.

Construction work woke me up at 7.30am. Unacceptable! They kept banging until 10.00 am when I left the hotel! It was right above my head. Impossible to sleep. Impossible to stay in the room even awake. They said they were sorry. Also no iron for your shirts in the room. Staff was kind and polite. They did find a way to iron my shirt. Acceptable breakfast. Nice bed. Poor wifi.

First impression is really OK. Clean, spacious, nice. Apartment 931 has a small kitchen and balcony, love it! Apartment 326 is same like 931, but has a very poor wifi connection at the moment of this edit (17.11.2019).
