Holy Spirit Bonn | Church & Parish Center

Holy Spirit in Bonn-Venusberg is a church and community center that offers much more than just a place for worship. At Kiefernweg 22, a vibrant location is gathered here with a church, parish center, parish office, Catholic public library, and daycare center. This mix makes Holy Spirit so important for many people in the district: the place is a spiritual center, a meeting point for families, a cultural space, and a practical contact point in everyday life. Officially, Holy Spirit belongs to the pastoral area Bonn-Melbtal; the contact address is Kiefernweg 22, 53127 Bonn. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Heilig-Geist-00023/))

Those looking for Holy Spirit often mean not just the church itself, but the entire ensemble around the community center. The official website of the parish community clearly locates the site in Bonn-Venusberg and names Holy Spirit as a fixed part of church life in Melbtal. Additionally, there are recurring events, worship services, group offerings, and programs for children and adults that shape the place beyond just the building's operation. For search intentions related to the church, parish center, library, daycare, opening hours, and events, Holy Spirit is therefore a classic local anchor point. Holy Spirit Bonn-Venusberg: Church, Parish Center, and Contact

The address Kiefernweg 22 is the most important orientation point for anyone wanting to find Holy Spirit in Bonn. The official entry of the parish community includes the location with phone number and email address; additionally, the Archdiocese of Cologne lists Holy Spirit as a parish church in the pastoral area Bonn-Melbtal. This makes it clear: Holy Spirit is not just any community space on the edge of the city, but a firmly anchored church location on the Venusberg. The location in the Bonn district of Venusberg makes it easy for people from Bonn and the surrounding neighborhoods to plan their journey, especially when it comes to worship services, events, or personal appointments at the parish office. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Heilig-Geist-00023/))

Practical orientation also includes the fact that the location combines several functions under one name. The website lists not only the church but also the parish center and the parish office under Holy Spirit. This is helpful for visitors because many questions can be answered directly at the same place: Where can I find contacts? Where are events located? Where is the library? Where is the daycare? Holy Spirit answers all these questions not with an isolated single address, but with a cohesive community campus designed for short distances and encounters in everyday life. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Pfarrzentrum-Heilig-Geist/))

From an SEO perspective, these points are particularly relevant: Those searching for Holy Spirit Bonn, Holy Spirit Church, Holy Spirit Parish Center, or Holy Spirit Parish Office expect quick, clear information. This includes contact details, location, and classification in the pastoral area Bonn-Melbtal. The community can be officially reached via the phone number 0228 281382 and the email pastoralbuero@vip-bonn.org; the central pastoral office of the parish community is additionally located at Rehfuesstraße 24 in Bonn. This connection between a local location and central administration explains why Holy Spirit functions as both a church place and a service address in Bonn. History and Development at Kiefernweg

The history of Holy Spirit begins with strong local growth on the Venusberg. According to the district chronicle, the establishment of a new parish community began in 1952; in 1955, the community became independent, and in the same year, the church was built according to plans by Bonn architect Stefan Leuer. The chronicle describes the building as an open place of faith that should make the community visible among the people. This is important for the current location because here stands not just a building, but a historically grown community image that has been focused on closeness and cohesion from the very beginning. ([bonn.wiki](https://bonn.wiki/index.php?mobileaction=toggle_view_mobile&title=Heilig-Geist-Kirche_Bonn-Venusberg&utm_source=openai))

The layout around the church has always included several components of community life. According to the documented development, the parish house was built in 1955, the sacristy house in 1956, and the youth center with a public library in 1957. Later, additional facilities and two daycare centers were added. This mix shows that Holy Spirit was not intended as a standalone church, but as a vibrant place with different tasks for worship, education, encounter, and care. This historical development is crucial for search queries related to the parish center, library, daycare, and community center because it explains the current structure. ([bonn.wiki](https://bonn.wiki/index.php?mobileaction=toggle_view_mobile&title=Heilig-Geist-Kirche_Bonn-Venusberg&utm_source=openai))

A second important step in development was the extensive renovation and expansion of the ensemble. According to the district chronicle, the renovations and new constructions began in the fall of 2016 and were completed by mid-2018. The concept included renovated old buildings, a new parish hall, and a new kindergarten. For visitors, this means a location that combines historical substance with modern use. Today, those visiting Holy Spirit experience a place that does not hide its history but translates it into contemporary community architecture. Parish Office, Worship Services & Community Life

The community life of Holy Spirit is supported by fixed contact persons and regular structures. The official page lists the Holy Spirit parish office at Kiefernweg 22, while the central pastoral office of the parish community Bonn-Melbtal is located at Rehfuesstraße 24. The opening hours of the pastoral office are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 to 12 o'clock and Tuesday from 16 to 18 o'clock. Additionally, the page mentions Friday from 9 to 10 o'clock for the parish offices of St. Barbara and Holy Spirit. Therefore, anyone with organizational questions, appointment requests, or contact needs will find a clearly structured church administration at Holy Spirit. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Pfarrbuero-Heilig-Geist-00001/))

The vibrant community image also includes events and celebrations that connect the location with the district. A current example is the Mass & Picnic in the Green, which took place on a meadow at Kiefernweg 22 / corner of Waldauweg. The event announcement explicitly points out that the meadow is located near the Holy Spirit Church and is easily accessible by public transport via the Kiefernweg stop. This shows that Holy Spirit is not just an enclosed interior space but also a starting point for open, communal formats outdoors. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Messe-Picknick-im-Gruenen-wir-feiern-das-Miteinander-2025.08.24/?instancedate=1756044000000))

Particularly influential is the Holy Spirit church choir, which, according to official representation, has musically accompanied the worship services since its founding in 1953 and occasionally also organizes concerts. The choir currently consists of about 20 singers; since 2011, Sebastian Hohberg has been the choir director. Such information is very valuable for the perception of Holy Spirit because it shows that the place is not only managed but actively lived. For many visitors, this mix of spirituality, music, and community is a strong argument for perceiving Holy Spirit as a church and event venue. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/kirche-leben/gruppen-und-vereine/kirchenmusik/chor-heilig-geist/index.html))

KÖB Holy Spirit: Opening Hours, Media, and Service

A special offering at the location is the Catholic public library Holy Spirit, short KÖB. The official page describes it as a public institution of the Holy Spirit parish that provides books and other media for information, education, entertainment, and leisure activities. The collection includes about 3000 books and other media for children, teenagers, and adults. Thus, the library is an important part of the location because it strengthens Holy Spirit as a learning and meeting place for various age groups and opens the community beyond the liturgical area. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/kirche-leben/gruppen-und-vereine/buechereien/index.html))

The opening hours are clearly indicated: Wednesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00 as well as Sundays from 10:30 to 12:30. The library is located in the Holy Spirit parish center at Kiefernweg 22. For families, children, and readers from the neighborhood, this is an easily accessible offer that can be used without much effort. In a local location description, this information is important because many search queries specifically target practical questions: What is available on site? When is it open? What offers are suitable for children? At Holy Spirit, the KÖB answers these questions very concretely. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/kirche-leben/gruppen-und-vereine/buechereien/index.html))

The library also contributes to the social function of the location. It is not only a space for borrowing but also a place where encounter, education, and community culture come together. The parish community's page even mentions events such as picture book readings, confirming the library as an active event location. For the local perception of Holy Spirit, this is a strong signal: The location offers not only spaces but also content and impulses for different target groups. This makes it highly relevant for search queries related to libraries, opening hours, family offers, and community activities. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/kirche-leben/gruppen-und-vereine/buechereien/index.html))

Daycare Center Holy Spirit and Family Offers

The daycare center Holy Spirit is another central building block of the location. According to the daycare page, there are 3 groups and a total of 63 places; of these, 10 places are intended for children aged 2 to 3 years. It is also stated that the facility moved into the newly built daycare center in January 2018. This makes it clear that Holy Spirit not only fulfills spiritual and cultural functions but also provides important social and family-related infrastructure for the district. For parents looking for a Catholic daycare in Bonn, this is a particularly relevant aspect. ([katholische-kindergaerten.de](https://www.katholische-kindergaerten.de/kitas/558111-heilig-geist))

The opening hours of the daycare are Monday to Thursday from 7:15 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM. Office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Tuesday to Thursday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM; further consultation hours are possible by prior telephone appointment. Additionally, the page mentions closing times such as the three weeks of summer vacation in NRW, the time between Christmas and New Year, individual carnival days, and concept days. This makes the facility planable and transparent for families. ([katholische-kindergaerten.de](https://www.katholische-kindergaerten.de/kitas/558111-heilig-geist))

The registration note is also important for parents: The facility points out that interested parties should first register their need for a place with the youth office or through the municipal pre-registration system and that this does not replace personal contact with the daycare. This shows that Holy Spirit has a structured and professional approach to family work. In external perception, this is a strong quality feature because it signals seriousness, clear processes, and closeness to families. Together with the library, worship services, and community activities, the daycare forms a viable offer that strengthens Holy Spirit as a family-friendly location in the southern part of Bonn. ([katholische-kindergaerten.de](https://www.katholische-kindergaerten.de/kitas/558111-heilig-geist))

Directions to Venusberg and Events at Kiefernweg

For directions, the location at Kiefernweg on the Venusberg is the most important anchor point. In a current event announcement, the Kiefernweg stop is explicitly mentioned as a well-accessible public transport option. Anyone wishing to visit Holy Spirit can therefore orient themselves to this stop, especially when worship services, group evenings, or events take place in the vicinity of the community center. This is a practical advantage for everyone traveling without a car or seeking direct orientation in the district. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Messe-Picknick-im-Gruenen-wir-feiern-das-Miteinander-2025.08.24/?instancedate=1756044000000))

Furthermore, the use of the meadow at Kiefernweg 22 / corner of Waldauweg shows that the environment of Holy Spirit is also suitable for larger communal formats. The official description emphasizes benches on site, the invitation to picnic, and the open, community-oriented atmosphere. This confirms Holy Spirit as a place where not only indoor spaces but also outdoor areas are part of community life. Such formats are particularly relevant for search queries related to events, community center, or parish hall because they show that the location is flexibly used for liturgy, encounters, and communal experiences. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Messe-Picknick-im-Gruenen-wir-feiern-das-Miteinander-2025.08.24/?instancedate=1756044000000))

The parish hall is also a fixed part of the location. In an official invitation from the parish community, an informational parents' evening for First Communion takes place in the parish hall of Holy Spirit at Kiefernweg 22. This makes it clear that Holy Spirit is used not only for the community in the narrower sense but also for educational and family events. Therefore, those searching for Holy Spirit Bonn are often also looking for a space for encounter, orientation, and organization. In this function, the location on the Venusberg is well positioned. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/export/sites/bonn-melbtal/.galleries/dokumente/2025-06-anschreiben-anmeldung-erstkommunion.pdf))

If one were to describe Holy Spirit in Bonn in one sentence, it would be a place where church tradition, social offerings, and modern community practice come together. The church, the parish center, the library, the daycare, and the diverse group offerings form a network that makes the location visible in the everyday life of the district. For visitors, this means: Here you find not just an address, but a lively community with history, present, and reliable opening hours. ([vip-bonn.de](https://vip-bonn.de/detail/Heilig-Geist-00023/))

We were able to experience a very beautiful and loving baptism here. With wonderful explanations, everything felt very personal and family-like. A very impressive building with magnificent windows. The light came in so beautifully, making the baptism feel even more royal. 🥰

We had to flee from the police recently. The area offers many good hiding spots and escape routes. Give it a like! PS: we weren't caught. PPS: we really didn't do anything bad. The 5 six-seaters were totally over the top!
