Meanwhile, I am a licensed psychotherapist (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie) and run my own psychotherapy practice. My journey began in 2015 at the Albert Schweitzer House during an information evening for the exam preparation course to become a licensed psychotherapist. Ulrike Schmickler explained in detail the requirements for obtaining the license from the public health department, and I immediately trusted her on a personal level, a decision that proved to be well-founded: The course to prepare for the written exam was engaging and took me on a fascinating journey through psychotherapy, giving me a solid overview of what was then new territory for me. I passed the exam in March 2019 on my first attempt with only two errors. I then enrolled in the "Rogerian Client-Centered Therapy" course and both parts of "Gestalt Therapy with the Inner Child" with Ulrike Schmickler. This enabled me to pass the oral exam at the public health department on my first attempt, and I still have two important psychotherapeutic tools for my own practice today. THANK YOU!
