When winter comes, the game begins
On November 15, 2026, the improvisation theater TOMATO transforms the Atelier Stage Bonn into a place of spontaneous stories, surprising twists, and wintry fantasy. In WINTER IS COMING, each moment is created live before the eyes of the audience – without a finished script, but with a lot of enthusiasm for playing, musical sensitivity, and direct audience participation.
From cold feet to great stage art
Outside, there is darkness; inside, the warm theater atmosphere awaits: candles, mulled wine, wet shoes, thick socks, and the eternal question of why it is still dark in the morning. The ensemble picks up the thoughts and answers of the audience and transforms them into improvised scenes about hibernation, snowstorms, dreary weather, winter madness, and the longing for southern seas.
Improvisation as an immediate stage experience
The dramaturgy of this evening is created in the moment. Each scene follows the impulses from the hall, each character can change, every punchline grows from the shared play. Thus, the direction becomes an open dialogue between acting, the audience, and musical accompaniment. The acoustics of the personal Atelier Stage support a close, immediate experience where spontaneous audience reactions become part of the performance.
Between absurdity, comedy, and quiet warmth
WINTER IS COMING combines wild improvisation with absurd humor and surprisingly touching moments. Birgit Fritz, Carolin Dörmbach, and Vladimir Andrienko are on stage; Johannes Mauer musically accompanies the proceedings. Together, they develop stories that are neither predictable nor repeatable – a theater evening as a unique original.
Conclusion: An evening that exists only once
Those who love improvisational theater experience an evening full of joy, closeness, and creative unpredictability in Bonn. TOMATO invites you not only to endure winter but to transform it into theater together. Secure your ticket and experience live what arises from the audience's ideas.
