When the Darkness Begins to Shine
On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the hall of the House of Family in Bonn will transform into a mysterious stage filled with light, music, and optical illusions. The Christmas black light musical will be presented by children and youth aged 6 to 16, starting at 5 PM.
Magic from Black Light and Movement
Black light theatre thrives on the play of visibility and illusion. In the dark stage space, glowing props emerge from nowhere, animals seem to move independently, stars dance in the sky, and letters appear as if by magic. The production combines acting, music, movement, and precisely choreographed effects into an unusual stage experience for the whole family.
A Christmas Play from Original Creativity
The performance marks the culmination of a multi-part theatre project. The young participants developed and built the props themselves, rehearsed the sequences, and now present their work on stage in a festive setting. At the center is the Christmas play The Little Star, whose fairy-tale imagery stands out particularly through black light technique.
Theatre Atmosphere Without Spotlight
The special dramaturgy of black light theatre relieves the performers of the pressure of a visible appearance. The children remain in the dark thanks to stage technology, while costumes, shapes, and props carry the narrative. This creates a concentrated theatre atmosphere where imagination, teamwork, and acting skills are made immediately tangible.
A Festive Afternoon for Families
The House of Family provides an accessible setting for shared cultural experiences. The performance is aimed at families and anyone who enjoys visual stage art, Christmas spirit, and surprising theatre imagery. The direction and staging is handled by Arne Beeger.
Conclusion: Experience Christmas Magic Live
The Christmas black light musical promises a sensory stage experience with glowing images, musical movement, and immediate audience reactions to small wonders in the dark. Those wishing to experience unusual family theatre in Bonn will discover a young, creative form of stage art here. Save the date and see how a sparkling Christmas tale emerges from darkness.
