Safe and Confident on the Road in Old Age
Together with other drivers aged 60 and over, this VHS course in Bonn strengthens safe mobility in everyday life. The focus is on age-appropriate information, practical experiences, and respectful exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
Consciously Assess Driving Competence
With increasing age, perception, reaction time, and mobility can change. The course clearly shows how such changes can affect driving behavior. Participants receive suggestions to realistically assess their own driving competence and maintain personal well-being at the wheel.
Refresh Traffic Rules and Gain Safety
Important traffic rules are refreshed and linked to everyday situations. Practical tips help to act calmly, attentively, and confidently even in demanding traffic situations. The shared exchange of experiences fosters social participation and conveys safety without performance pressure.
Understand Modern Driver Assistance Systems
Another focus is on modern driver assistance systems. The event explains their possibilities and limitations and supports older drivers in meaningfully categorizing technical aids. This creates a balanced understanding between individual experience and current vehicle technology.
Senior-Friendly Community Experience
The three-hour event provides space for questions, encounters, and personal experiences. The Volkshochschule Bonn combines professional information with a calm, age-appropriate learning atmosphere. This strengthens independence, health care in a broader sense, and the long-term mobility of older people.
Conclusion: Maintain Mobility and Strengthen Trust
Participants can expect an informative afternoon with concrete suggestions for safe driving in old age. Those who want to maintain their mobility for as long as possible and participate in road traffic with more ease will experience a valuable community offering from the Volkshochschule Bonn.
