My House: Fit for the Future – practical impulses for women in Bonn
How can a house be modernized to fit one’s own life situation, made more energy-efficient, and prepared for old age? The workshop My House: Fit for the Future offers women on December 9, 2026, in Bonn expert orientation for upcoming renovation, remediation, and decision-making processes.
Modernizing with a clear view of the future
The focus is on specific questions concerning one’s own home: What changes when the children have moved out? What possibilities does an energy-saving renovation offer? What costs can arise from a modernization? Dealing with an inherited house is also among the topics of the evening.
Barrier-free, age-appropriate, and energy-efficient
A special emphasis is placed on barrier-free and age-appropriate renovations. Participants will receive suggestions on how to meaningfully combine living comfort, future security, and energy efficiency. The event is aimed at women who own or will own a house and find themselves in a renovation, modernization, or decision-making phase.
Expert knowledge, exchange, and individual questions
An energy consultant from the Consumer Advice Center NRW will be available to answer visitors' questions. In addition to professional information, the workshop offers space for individual questions and exchange in small groups. This combination of energy consulting, event planning, and personal experience exchange creates a focused, practical atmosphere.
Developing solutions together at the Sankt Gallus Library
The Catholic Public Library Sankt Gallus will become a meeting point for women who want to actively and proactively design their home. In a calm environment, new perspectives on renovation, living space adjustment, and sustainable modernization will emerge.
Conclusion: The workshop combines expert energy consulting with personal questions and open exchange. Those preparing decisions around renovations, remediation, or age-appropriate living will experience an informative evening in Bonn with concrete food for thought for their own home. Participation is free of charge, registration is required.
