Your own Advent Wreath made of ceramic in Bonn

When November slowly begins to smell like Advent, Selbstwerk Bonn invites you to a special event experience: In the ceramics workshop, you will create an individual Advent wreath made of clay under professional guidance. The three-hour workshop combines creative craftsmanship, focused design, and a festive atmosphere in preparation for the Christmas season.

Craftsmanship with a personal touch

Step by step, you will shape your own candle wreath using hand-building techniques. The slab technique will be used, a versatile method that serves as a foundation for future pottery projects. Each surface, curve, and detail is created by your hands, making the piece a personal unique.

Small group, intensive support

The event planning focuses on a deliberately small group with a maximum of six participants. This creates a pleasant working atmosphere with room for individual questions and expert support. The workshop is aimed at people aged twelve and above and requires at least four participants.

From raw piece to finished unique item

After the workshop, your ceramic piece will need one to two weeks of drying time before the first firing takes place. Afterwards, you can color your Advent wreath in the open workshop on Tuesday or Thursday evenings with glaze. Approximately two weeks after glazing, the piece will be fired a second time and will then be ready for pickup.
