Quirky Christmas stories between art and literary wit
When the Advent season sounds with familiar songs and contemplative rituals, this reading sets a surprising counterpoint: On Monday, December 21, 2026, the Art Association Bad Godesberg presents humorous and unusual Christmas stories from the regional literary scene.
Forget silent night
Under the cheeky motto Forget Silent Night, texts are the focus that view Christmas from a different perspective. The selected stories combine pointed observation, quirky situations, and literary artistry for an entertaining evening for all who want to experience Christmas literature beyond predictable clichés.
Seven voices from the region
On stage, Manfred Erixon, Klaus Vater, Heidi Adrian, Harald Gesterkamp, Georgie Severin, Gudrun Hillmann, and Daniela Weingärtner will read. The texts were selected by a jury from submissions from the Art Association's literary group and the Association of German Writers.
Literary experience in a special atmosphere
The Art Association Bad Godesberg creates the right setting for this author encounter. Between art and literature, an intimate reading atmosphere emerges where voice, rhythm, and narrative punchlines have an immediate effect. The format invites the audience to not only read the linguistic skill of the texts but to hear them live and experience them with other literature enthusiasts.
Entry free, donations welcome
Entry begins at 19:00, the reading starts at 20:00 and is expected to end at 21:00. Registration is not required. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
