Warhammer becomes a creative family experience in Bonn
During the autumn vacations, the fantastic world of Warhammer opens up for young artists and creative minds. In the workshop at MIGRApolis House of Diversity, children collaboratively craft, paint, and play with their own figures. Colorful miniatures, personal stories, and plenty of children's laughter are created in the process.
Your own figures, your own ideas
The workshop combines imaginative design with playful learning. Participants choose their preferred faction and decide what their figures look like. This makes each miniature a unique artwork. It strengthens creativity, fine motor skills, and the joy of making one’s ideas visible.
Creativity meets play pedagogy
After crafting and painting, the figures come to life together. The subsequent game promotes communication, imagination, and the collaborative development of stories. The open design allows for an age-appropriate learning experience, where curiosity, self-efficacy, and a sense of community are at the center.
Expert support for young creatives
The play pedagogical leadership is taken over by Christian van den Kerckhoff, head of the MIGRApolis Institute and BIM e. V. The artistic direction is led by freelance artist Tobias Stutz from Alanus University. Two instructors from Privateer Posa Boyz e. V. support the project pedagogically. This way, the offering connects artistic work with pedagogical support and a clear focus on safety and collaborative play.
Cultural Rucksack: free access to art and culture
The offering is part of the Bonn Cultural Rucksack 2026. The program targets children and young people aged 10 to 14 in Bonn and provides free access to cultural education. The focus is on voluntary, extracurricular, and age-appropriate offerings, which are accompanied by artists or cultural educators.
Conclusion: A holiday workshop with imagination and learning fun
The Warhammer offering promises shared time, creative successes, and exciting game moments. Children discover their artistic side, create their own figures, and experience how a small game world arises from color, imagination, and teamwork. Families should discover this special family experience live at the MIGRApolis House of Diversity.
