Books, Art, and Children's Laughter in the Heart of Bonn
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Book Art Break invites children aged 5 to 8 years to a creative family experience at the Pavilion for Building Culture in Bonn. From 14:00 to 16:00, the young participants will discover stories, pictures, and art while parents gain time for shopping, errands, or a relaxed café break in Bonn's city center.
Reading, Wondering, and Discovering Together
The focus is on reading sessions, books, and playful interaction with other children. Stories open new perspectives, stimulate the imagination, and create a child-friendly learning experience. Listening together enhances attention, language development, and joy in storytelling.
Creative Ideas with Colors and Images
In addition to the world of books, artistic activities await the children. While creating, they can develop their own ideas, explore materials, and let their curiosity run free. The combination of literature and art makes the event a varied learning fun with room for independence and expression.
Ages for a Family Experience in the City Center
The Book Art Break is aimed at book-loving children aged 5 to 8 years. The protected interior of the pavilion provides a suitable environment for focused listening, creative work, and encounters with peers. For families, the offer combines shared time, cultural education, and a practical shopping break.
Good to Know for Families
Participation is free of charge. Registration is required through the Youth Art School at arte fact by email to jks@artefact-bonn.de. The project is organized by the Youth Art School at arte fact, supported by the City Center Management Bonn and in cooperation with Ludus on Friedrichstraße as well as the Small Shop.
Conclusion: Small Break, Big Discoveries
The Book Art Break gives children inspiring stories, creative moments, and new encounters. Parents can use the time for their paths through Bonn while children playfully experience literature and art. Those who want to provide their offspring with a warm, age-appropriate family experience full of learning fun should register in time and experience the world of books live at the pavilion.
