Jazz, Groove and spontaneous sound moments in the drinking pavilion

On Wednesday, November 18, 2026, the drinking pavilion in Bad Godesberg will transform into a lively meeting point for jazz fans and musicians. The Music-in-the-Park Jazzsession combines a focused concert program with the open energy of a jam session. Admission is free, donations are welcome.

Fusion of jazz, funk and surf

The opening act is the Bonn trio Hoop & Pole together with Lukas Frings. Guitarist Daniel Jäger, bassist Georg Pilger, and drummer Johannes Daniel connect jazz standards, funk and soul classics, as well as pop and rock influences with instrumental joy of play. Their sound lives from groove, precise synchronization and surprising diversions beyond classic song structures.

Hoop & Pole feat. Lukas Frings

As a guest, Lukas Frings on keyboard adds additional sound colors to the trio. The musician is a member of the Springmaus ensemble and keyboardist of the Bonn band The Rhythm Section. Together they create a versatile stage performance between a grooving rhythm section, jazzy improvisation, and funky energy. The opener lasts about 45 minutes.

From mini-gig to open jam session

After the concert opener, there will be a short mini-gig before the session unfolds its improvised dynamics. In changing line-ups, previously selected pieces will be played, with musicians from the opener band joining if necessary. A spontaneous entry is also possible. All experience levels are welcome.

Live atmosphere in the drinking pavilion

The special concert experience arises from the proximity between stage and audience. Acoustic instruments, driving bass, percussive impulses, and spontaneous solos create an immediate audience atmosphere. Anyone who wants to not only hear jazz but experience its creation live will find an evening with open ears, genuine exchange, and musical risk.

Conclusion: Experience jazz live and join in

The Music-in-the-Park Jazzsession #3/26 brings Bonn's fusion sound, experienced musicians, and curious session guests together for an evening. Visitors can expect a varied jazz concert featuring funk grooves, improvisation, and surprising moments. Admission is free – ideal conditions for a spontaneous concert evening in the drinking pavilion.
