Memento Odesa: A Concert Between Memory, Jazz, and Hope
On Sunday, November 22, 2026, the Pantheon in Bonn will transform into a resonance space for musical memory and lived solidarity. Sebastian Studnitzky, together with the Chamber Orchestra of the Odesa Philharmonic, a band, and singer Anastasiia Pokaz, will present the benefit project Memento Odesa on stage. All proceeds will benefit aid projects in Ukraine.
Orchestral Sound Colors Meet Modern Jazz
Memento Odesa combines classical music with contemporary jazz elements, electronically influenced soundscapes, and improvisational freedom. Studnitzky's compositions develop between delicate chamber music, pulsating groove, and atmospheric expansiveness. The orchestral depth of the chamber orchestra meets bass, drums, trumpet, and vocals – a multi-layered stage performance with clear dramaturgy and great emotional expressiveness.
A Musical Sign for Odesa
The project, founded in 2023, emerged from three works that were spontaneously recorded at the Odesa Philharmonic. From this initial musical reaction to the situation of the people in Ukraine, an extensive concert series developed. The Winter Tour 2026 is already the fifth tour in Germany for the Chamber Orchestra of the Odesa Philharmonic and its band. Two joint albums have been recorded and released in Berlin.
Award-Winning Artists, Strong Live Atmosphere
Sebastian Studnitzky is one of the versatile musicians in the German jazz and classical scene. The trumpeter, pianist, and composer has been honored with the ECHO Jazz and the OPUS Klassik. Under the direction of Volodymyr Dykyi, the chamber orchestra unfolds a precise orchestration, while Paul Kleber on bass and Tim Sarhan on drums create rhythmic tension. Anastasiia Pokaz lends her personal accents with her voice in a program that connects concert sound and social responsibility.
Benefit Concert with Special Significance
Memento Odesa understands music as a cultural bridge and an expression of resilience. The modern-classical homage to Odesa and its residents combines musical quality with concrete assistance. In the Pantheon, the audience can expect an intense concert experience with free seating, fine dynamic transitions, and an audience atmosphere that resonates far beyond the last note.
Doors open at 4:30 PM, the concert begins at 6:00 PM and is expected to end at 8:15 PM. Admission costs 26 euros, reduced 20 euros, plus any applicable presale fees.
Conclusion: Music that Keeps Memory Alive
Memento Odesa is much more than an evening concert: It is a meeting of classical music, jazz, improvisation, and solidarity. Those who want to experience the special live atmosphere of this project and support aid projects in Ukraine will find an evening full of sound colors, attitude, and humanity at the Pantheon.
