Music, Stories, and a Distinctive Stage Performance

Herman van Veen combines singing, violin, language, and acting into a versatile stage performance. His repertoire spans multiple languages and moves effortlessly between chanson, singer-songwriter tradition, classical orchestration, and theatrical storytelling. Each evening follows its own dramaturgy: sometimes a soft musical moment takes center stage, while at other times, a small gesture evolves into a grand scene.

An Artist with Global Stage Experience

The artist, born in 1945 in Utrecht, studied at the conservatory and made his theater debut in 1965 with the solo program Harlekijn.
