Christmas, but with a punchline: Pause & Alich unveil

When Fritz and Hermann take the stage amidst advent wreaths, year-end reports, and Rhineland club banter, the Christmas special at Pantheon Bonn gets a very unique gift: sharp-tongued cabaret, musical ideas, and punchlines that will make the mulled wine laugh right out of the cup.

Fritz and Hermann against the holiday madness

Rainer Pause and Norbert Alich have been performing together as the cabaret duo Pause & Alich or Fritz & Hermann since 1990. Their artistic characters use Christmas as an opportunity to dissect the year politically, socially, and with a Rhineland twist. During the time between November 11, Advent, and New Year, hardly a piece of local wisdom goes uncommented.

Cabaret with Rhineland bite

The Christmas Special blends stand-up elements, musical cabaret, satirical observation, and lively interaction. Fritz Litzmann and Hermann Schwaderlappen engage in verbal duels with precise timing, while current inspirations, old favorites, and new ideas flow into the holiday summary. Even answers to questions that no one has asked are part of the tried-and-true stage recipe.

Experience a Bonn cabaret institution live

Rainer Pause founded the Pantheon Theatre in Bonn in 1987. Along with Norbert Alich, he has been shaping the Bonn cabaret scene and the alternative carnival revue Pink Punk Pantheon for decades. Both have been guests on relevant cabaret shows and represent political cabaret with acting talent, musical instinct, and a healthy dose of Rhineland stubbornness.

Comedy atmosphere with music and audience reaction

The production includes music by Stephan Ohm. This creates a varied laughing experience between biting satire, stage presence, and musical moments. The comedy atmosphere in the Pantheon thrives on direct contact: a glance, a pause at the right moment, and the holiday mood tips into collective laughter.

Conclusion: Christmas can be uncomfortably funny again

The Christmas Special 2026 promises an evening for everyone who prefers to draw their year-end summary with punchlines rather than PowerPoint. Those who want to experience cabaret, Rhineland humor, and the well-rehearsed duo Fritz & Hermann live will find the perfect place for a satirical gift-giving in the Pantheon.
